This is my 100th post! So, I thought I’d take the opportunity to share some of my favourite blog posts with you again, please leave comments below.
My first post published back on 5 November 2016. I had someone helping me with the blog back then and they gave me a brief to “Introduce yourself to your readers”. The post had many different forms before I settled on this version, explaining the feelings of my first night in my own home after moving out of the marital home.
This isn’t actually one of my favourites but it was one that has opened a few doors for me so I am thankful for that. I remember how this post started. It was a text message to a friend. I can’t remember why I sent it as a text message but I remember his response was that it needs to be a blog post. So I turned it into a post, published it on my site and then submitted a copy to another site I had been accepted to write for but hadn’t submitted any work yet. Truth be told I only submitted the post to keep my writing account active. 2 weeks later the post went semi viral.
This was a 2nd semi viral post a couple of weeks after the first. I like this post though, it was nice to sit down and reflect on the 12 months gone and it’s also nice to sit down these days and realise how far I’ve come.
I remember exactly what I was doing when I wrote this post. It was a Saturday night, I’d just finished setting up my new office furniture and decided to sit down and use it. I sat at the computer and this came out. I hit publish – unedited. It’s still one of my favourites.
One of those moments where you don’t realise just how strong you are until you look back and say “I did that all on my own”. That’s what I did with this post, reflected on the journey of my 4th pregnancy.
The re-launch of my blog was a moment when I could truly put the divorce behind me and move forward.
This was another semi viral post but this time it was for my own site and through my own promotion which made it just a little bit sweeter than the other posts. This was something that I’d been carrying around with me for a few years and thought the time was finally right to tell B1 about the Magic of Christmas (I couldn’t do it though so I’ll try again this year!!!!!).
Hope you’ve enjoyed this look back at some of my posts, feel free to leave a comment with your own favourites and I look forward to bringing you some new work soon x
