BANISH your post divorce blues with great skin!

Going through a divorce is not only tough mentally but physically it can also take its toll.  It is essential to take care of yourself during this challenging time, and your skin care routine is a great place to start.  Tough times can age you, or the stress can cause unsightly breakouts.

I have recently teamed up with an excellent USA based company Banish to repair my skin post-divorce and leave me feeling fabulous!  My main reason for partnering up with Banish – the products are natural and freshly made, and this is vitally important to me.  I am not into chemically laden products and very mindful of what goes into my body and onto my skin. The company is based in the USA but offer international shipping and has a 30-day money back guarantee in case the products don’t work as well for you.  It is also crucial, as a single Mum on a tight budget as the last thing I have is money to throw away on skin care products that don’t work!

Banish are a company whose ethics align well with my values; they want to help you achieve great skin and feel your best.

Let’s face it; I’m no teenager! So, why I am using these products on my, ahem “mature” skin! Well, the main reason is the Banisher 2.0 tool and the effects of microneedling on my skin. You see early in my adult life I suffered from adult acne. After years of trying everything, I learned that harmful chemicals were not the way to treat this condition instead opting for a good diet and great natural and fresh skin care products.  But, I was still left with the problem of scars.  I thought I was destined to forever cover these with heavy makeup until I was introduced to Microneedling with the Banisher 2.0.

Here’s how it works – the banisher makes micro-wounds in the skin, triggering the skin to heal and repair itself to build new collagen fibres to reduce the appearance of scars. Then when the Vitamin C serum is applied, it is absorbed deeper into the skin because of the microchannels the banisher just made. The serum contains Vitamin C to speed up the collagen and scar fading process and doesn’t contain harmful ingredients. There is also a Repairing Vitamin C Creme which provides an extra boost of collagen stimulation.  The result is similar to lasering the scars!  Without the pain and the hefty price tag.

Banish have a range of different kits depending on where your skin is at.  My favourite is the Collagen Booster kit because it contains the new Banisher 2.0 tool.  The new Banisher has just launched, and I am one of the first few influences to try and test it, and I love it.  The tool itself features titanium needles covered in 24k gold and gold helps induce collagen. This tool is more ergonomic and has a good grip due to texture.  The cleaning cap is integrated and allows you to pour cleaning alcohol in cap and close and shake to clean. Let’s face it we WANT this product cleaned adequately but we also don’t want to have to spend more time cleaning it than using it.  The angle of the needle penetration is a straight line as opposed to a roller so there’s less skin trauma and it’s easier to work around any active pimples. Oh and this is a Limited Edition item – it’s not going to be around forever.

Also included in this kit is the Banish Oil which contains Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Ferulic acid and as I’ve touched on before this is the magic oil which will penetrate the channels the Banisher tool has made in your skin.

Then you follow up with the Vitamin C Creme which is a light plant-based cream which will leave your skin feeling fresh, youthful, bright, and glowing!

The products all come in a cute little bag to keep them all together in your vanity cupboard, and the bag is clear so you can see what you have.

What did I think……

I’ll have to admit when I first took a good look at the Banisher tool I was scared this was going to be painful.  I mean, I am microneedling my skin – this has got to hurt! And to be completely honest – it wasn’t painless, but it wasn’t overly painful either.

I was also concerned about putting oil and cremes onto my skin.  In the past, I have avoided these products as they cause my skin to still breakout.  The Vitamin C Creme left my skin feeling great and not greasy at all.  It absorbs quickly, and I was able to use it at night and during the day under makeup and not have my makeup slide off my face.  The Banish Oil was also absorbed very quickly and didn’t cause any breakouts at all. I believe this is because the products are all natural and fresh.

I have seen a considerable improvement in not only my skin texture but also fading of acne scars since I started using this system a couple of weeks ago.

There are some other Banish products I feel also deserve mention: the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask and the Vitamin C Beauty Elixir.

The Pumpkin Enzyme Mask is a 10-minute exfoliating mask inspired by nature to reveal your best skin and is formulated with natural pumpkin enzymes, AHAs and glycolic acid to improve skin clarity. This mask smells and looks just like pumpkin pie filling too! It leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking clear and is now part of my regular skincare routine.

The Vitamin C Beauty Elixir revitalises and gives your skin a burst of hydration.  It can be used at any time day or night! It doesn’t leave any sticky residue behind, and skin will drink up all the rich antioxidants, vitamin c, and skin boosting plant extracts. I love to use this as a makeup setting spray, AND as we’re in the middle of a long hot summer here in Australia, it’s incredibly hydrating to my skin when I’ve been sitting in airconditioned comfort and also refreshing and cooling after being out in the summer heat.

If you are looking for a pick me up or complete new skincare routine to take care of yourself through a painful divorce or just because YOU deserve it, look no further than Banish.  I can assure you; you won’t be disappointed!
